The Anatomy of The Good Gene #1

Since I've never written a novel before, I've been asked a few times how I came up with the idea for The Good Gene. It was the spring of 2019 and I had a rather vivid dream. The thing is, most dreams are vivid while you're having them and then quickly disappear once you wake up. This particular dream was unlike any I'd had before. I had been awake for about an hour and I still had total recall of the entire dream in all it's vividness and detail.

I mentioned this vivid recollection of the dream to my wife, and we both came to the conclusion I should probably write it down. So, I pulled out my laptop and wrote a two-page outline of the dream from start to end. With that, I closed my laptop and shelved the story, thinking someday it would make a pretty good book.
